ジェンダー研究の観点から１９５０年代から１９６０年代にかけての日本の女性美術家たちの創作の軌跡を辿る展覧会が始まりました。
１９５０年代に入り、アメリカからアクション・ペインティングという新しい表現が入って来た頃、それとは異なる形式で反応した女性美術家たち（草間彌生、田中敦子、福島秀子、白髪富士子他）の表現にスポットを当てた意欲的な展覧会です。

An exhibition has opened that traces the creative trajectories of Japanese women artists from the 1950s through the 1960s from the perspective of gender studies.
As new forms of expression such as Action Painting were introduced from the United States in the 1950s, a number of women artists responded in ways that differed from this movement. This ambitious exhibition shines a spotlight on the work of artists including Yayoi Kusama, Atsuko Tanaka, Hideko Fukushima, Fujiko Shiraga, and others.
