梅が咲き始めました

The plum blossoms in the grove have begun to bloom.

花と香りに魅せられて

近くの梅林の梅が咲き始めました。例年より少し早めです。寒さが厳しいこの時期、咲き始めた美しい梅の花が、しばし寒さを忘れさせてくれました。散歩の途中に少し立ち寄るつもりが花と香りに魅せられ、思わぬ長居となりました。

The plum blossoms in the grove have begun to bloom.
They’re a little earlier than usual this year.
In this season of harsh cold, the sight of those first beautiful blossoms made me forget the chill for a while.
I had only meant to stop by briefly during my walk, but I was so captivated by the flowers and their fragrance that I ended up staying much longer than I expected.
