イリデッセントカラーを使ったアクリル画の制作（Version 2nd）Creating an Acrylic Painting with Iridescent Color

暗い色面に隣接させる試み

３月に続き、イリデッセントカラー（イリデッセントカラーについては３月１２日付のブログで紹介済）を使って２作目のアクリル画を制作した。
今回は暗い色面（黒）の上ではなく、絵画の部分との境界部分に帯状に配置した。
離れて見るとイリデッセントカラー特有の輝きがあまり目立たなかったので
もう少し帯の幅を広げた方が良かったのではないかというのが今回の反省点である。
イリデッセントカラーは無限の可能性を秘めた魅力的な画材であることは間違いない。
今後も様々な使い方を試してみたい。

An Attempt to Place It Adjacent to a Dark Color Field

Following my work in March, I created a second acrylic painting using　iridescent color.（※I have already introduced iridescent colors in my blog post dated March 12）

This time, instead of applying it directly over a dark color field (black), I arranged it in a band-like strip along the boundary between the painted area and the surrounding space.

When viewed from a distance, the distinctive shimmer characteristic of iridescent color was not as noticeable as I had expected. In retrospect, I feel that widening the band slightly might have produced a stronger visual effect, which is my main point of reflection for this piece.

There is no doubt that they are an attractive art material with limitless possibilities.
I would like to continue experimenting with various ways of using them in the future.
